June means the kickoff of the French Enduro Series 2012 (by Tribe Events) which is the major series taking place in France, home of some of the biggest names in the MTB enduro racing. Looks promising!
Here we go for the 8th Enduro Series season and the 2nd official FFC French Cup.
The Enduro Series / French Enduro Cup will stop for the first round in Samoens on the 23rd and 24th of June. The “Haute-Savoie” resort will be booked out and will welcome 300 riders ready to race the 9 runs built by Alex Balaud and the local team. The “classical” Enduro Series format will see the addition of few pedaling liaisons and will be essentially composed of singletracks, freeride tracks and slides, the riders will make the most of the 4 different stages combining technical, fast and physical parts, all that on a terrain between forest and mountain pastures.
The goal of the week-end for the favorites is to win this first round and get a good position at the general ranking of the Enduro Series / French Enduro Cup, to become at the end Jérôme Clementz successor. Serious pretenders are coming to ride the Savoie slopes this week-end. The 2011 top French riders will be there such as Rémy ABSALON, François BAILLY-MAITRE, Théo GALY, Jérémy Arnould, Grégory DOUCENDE, Olivier Giordanengo, Maurin Trocello… but you can also count on Nicolas VOUILLOZ, Italian rider Vittorio GAMBIRASIO, New-Zealander Jamie NICOLL. For the girls, Tracy MOSELEY will join the party, as well as Anka Martin, while Morgane Jonnier, 2011 winner, will try to limit the damages after getting injured this spring.
Finally, we can trust the young guns like Cure, Marnay, Nicolai or Quéré to shake the hierarchy.
